What happened to Chloe Stein? Missing Jeannette woman arrested after orchestrating disappearance

On Tuesday, May 2, Chloe Stein, a 23-year-old from Jeannette, Pennsylvania, was taken into custody on suspicion of orchestrating her disappearance the previous day. Chloe Stein's car, a Volkswagon beetle, was found abandoned in Greensburg on May 1 after her boyfriend received a message from the 23-year-old stating that she had been pulled over. This led to the report that Chloe Stein was missing.

Specialists then gave a missing imperiled individual warning for Stein as they accepted there was a possible contribution of an individual imitating a cop in the occurrence. The authorities then began a thorough search, sending a helicopter into the air during bad weather because they believed she was in danger.

However, on Tuesday, May 2, Pennsylvania police made the announcement that Stein had been found safe and sound hiding at a friend's house and that they believed her story to be a hoax.
Because she wasted tens of thousands of dollars on police resources for what appeared to be a hoax, Chloe Stein was accused of sending a false alarm to the public safety agency, making false reports, obstructing the administration of the law and other governmental functions, and disorderly conduct.
Specialists said Stein was not absent or in harm's way, it was never headed over to take note of that she. According to Trooper Steve Limani, Stein left her car and walked to the friend's house in Jeannette, where she remained until the police learned of her whereabouts.
